Tagul My Favorite Moments

Reflection
I was learning to do a reflection challenge for 2016 . I made a tagul of my favorite moments. This Tagul was easy I just had to refresh my brain on what to do. Next time I would like to make my background more exciting.

Character Novel Study

Reflection
 I am learning to relate to the characters in the text to understand their purpose. 
I found it tricky to relate the character trait to me or someone in my family.
I was successful at understanding the characters behaviour.

Persuasive Writing and Speech

My Reflection:
I was learning to write a persuasive speech. I was successful at having four reasons to support my argument. I did each reason in a new paragraph and found facts to support my reasons. I found it tricky to research facts for my reasons. I also could use more persuasive words. When presenting I spoke loud and clear. Next time I could be more fluent.

Time

Reflection
I am learning to tell time this was hard but before i did this activity my teacher helped me and this is just like fractions! Next time this will be easier for me because i learnt lots.

Tapa Art

Reflection

I was learning about Tapa Cloth. I used a shell and flower design.

I used repeated patterns, one third brown dye, one third black vivid and one third plain.

I learnt to take my time and do a good job. I enjoyed scrunching my paper.

Next time i will try and put more effort into my work. 

Fractured Fairy Tale

Reflection I found this tricky to identify what is the same about the fairy tales. This was a fun activity i want to do this again.

Tagul

Reflection WALT: extend our Olympic vocabulary. I can match a word relating to the Olympics with each letter in the alphabet. I can use a variety of different words relating to the Olympics.I found this interesting.

The Big Hairy Spider

Reflection
I was learning to write about a moment in time using my senses. I found this tricky because my words were always boring but then i got help fro the teacher and she helped me. I want to do it again. It was fun.

Reading Around The World

           Reflection I was learning to skim and scan to find information in a nonfiction text. I found this very easy to skim and scan. I have identified the main key words while I skim and scan. I can try and make my sentences more interesting. 

Splitting Numbers

 Reflection
IALT: Split numbers and make a tidy ten to go back through ten. I found it tricky at first but then my classmate Jazmin helped me and I got all the problems right.

Matariki Presentation

Reflection I was learning to research information and summarise the main ideas. I found this tricky because it was to find the information. I need to keep working at justifying the main ideas.

Choco blocks

Reflecton I found it tricky to work out the answers because they have to be a rectangle. I did have help from my class mates. I this task was very hard but I did do it.

Zoom In

Reflection Zoom in was easy to do. I didn't have any help because i understood this task. I am proud of my task

Recount Inquiry Launch

Reflection I was learning to write a recount about our Inquiry Launch using paragraphs. I did a new paragraph for a new idea. I need to work on my beginning paragraph and end paragraph.

Pepeha Art

Reflection
I was learning to design a visually attractive and clear representation of my Pepeha that reflects my learning pathway.
I am most proud of my sky because I did have a little bit of trouble colouring it.  I wish i had an aeroplane on my Pepeha because I came from southafrica The most challenging thing was colouring  my sky.

Last week I went on a Te Tuhi visit the we did the wish you were here workshop. I enjoyed painting my picture. 

Number Squares

Reflection
I am learning to solve addition problems. I found it tricky because its hard to solve big numbers in my mind. Next time i will use the strategy that Mrs Prendergast tought me.

Never hitch a ride with a martian

Reflection I have been learning to read for a sustained time.I have done a chapter summary. I found it very easy. Next time I will make sure that my sentences are correct.
